The Steelman Group, was established in 1983 under the visionary leadership of Mr.Anand Mehta and Mr.Ashok Mehta as a trading house for Alloy, Carbon, Stainless and Special Steels in Kolkata.
In 2014, KLM Forge Private Limited was set up in Pune, focusing on the production of open die forging products. This strategic move allowed the company to increase its manufacturing capabilities and cater to a broader market.
In 2018, KLM Forge installed its second pneumatic hammer, a Massey model, to enhance its forging operations. This addition boosted production efficiency and enabled the company to handle larger, more complex components.
In 2020, KLM Forge further strengthened its production with the installation of a third Massey pneumatic hammer. During the same year, the company implemented an ERP system and centralized document management, streamlining operations and improving resource planning and traceability
In 2024, KLM Forge expanded its capabilities by adding a Closed Die Forging Hammer, further enhancing its precision forging operations. A new Heat Treatment setup was also introduced, ensuring greater control over the metallurgical properties of components, enabling the company to meet even more demanding industry requirements
